Impact of HIV in Marginalized Communities

During this training, we’ll reflect on the history of HIV and present challenges faced by marginalized communities to understand how to best serve these communities.   The impact of HIV within LGBTQ+, Black communities, and older adults has had long-lasting effects on health outcomes, social supports, and available community resources.  What lessons can be applied to outreach, prevention, and linkage to care efforts happening within your organization and the wider HIV advocacy networks?  In addition to providing information pertaining to HIV in these communities, we will apply best practices to your current client scenarios.
