What is the MAARC?

The Methodology and Advanced Analytics Resource Center (MAARC) is a National Institute of Health (NIH) funded research center based at the University of Chicago. The MAARC is a group comprised of four cores that will conduct opioid clinical trials implemented within justice context. Through national partnerships, the MAARC will support clinical trials with forecasting, rapid real-time assessments, explication and exploration of trial findings, and cost-effectiveness analysis. Together, the long-term mission of these cores is to reduce opioid use disorder and overdose, revolutionize opioid interventions, and to impact associated epidemics such as mental health disorders, HCV, and HIV. For more information, please contact Dr. Mainza Durrell at MDurrell@medicine.bsd.uchicago.edu.
